3. Scientific name: Pseudanthias rubrizonatus (Randall, 1983)
4. Characteristics: The species belongs to the family Serranidae. They are seen in rocky and coral reefs. Although they commonly live in deep areas, we can see them in shallow areas, even 5m depth, in Kagoshima Bay. They are one of the most abundant species of fish assemblages in coastal areas of Kagoshima Bay. Unfortunately, the information on their biological and ecological aspects are still limited.
