Henry, a member of Chinese-Korean boy band Super Junior-M, recently aroused online commenter’s curiosity with his ambiguous words on Chinese blogging site Weibo, according to local reports.

In his self-introduction, Henry mistakenly wrote, “A former idol of Super Junior-M, Henry,” leading many to assume he had withdrawn from the group.

The singer quickly explained that he had not dropped out. Doubts persisted, however, as to whether the change had happened while altering his profile as other Korean stars have done under the pressure of China’s recent punitive measures to hallyu, as the country protests the U.S. and Korea’s plan to deploy the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense missile battery on the Korean Peninsula.

Henry’s current profile reads “Singer, Entertainer, Emcee.”

Henry is Chinese-Canadian and joined Super Junior-M in 2008. He is currently active in China after having released two solo albums in Korea.
